After years (literally) of dithering over the One True Shotty, I accepted delivery on a brand-new Citori White Lightning yesterday afternoon.

Immediately took it to the range -- and read in the instruction book that it wanted its barrels cleaned of rust inhibitor before it was first used. :eek: Improvised a cleanout using some paper targets, and fired it a couple of times using some Winchester Feather.

Launched a clay. Dusted it. :D :D :D

I think I's gonna have fun! Thanks to all here who've responded to my endless barrage of wierd questions.

Congrats on your new Citori. I purchased a Citori XT last summer for skeet and couldn't be happier with it. Regarding cleaning, you may want to read a back article from Skeet Shooting Review (can find back issues online) on maintaining an over/under written by Todd Bender and the head gunsmith from Krieghoff - lots of useful tips.
