Looking for a red dot for 357 to 44 mag pistol application. I know there are a lot of red dots out there but I'm looking for one priced at under $100 that would do well with these calibers for relatively close range hunting at under 100 yards. Any recommendations?

You might take a look at the Primary Arms Micro Dot. They make some of the better lower-end optics, and you're probably going to find that most in the under $100 range (NC Star, etc) won't hold up or maybe won't even work from the factory.

If that's your budget, consider

The First Strike is considerably smaller.
