Am I the only guy in the world who would love to see an M1 carbine in 10mm?
Don't want an AR style, a mini 14 or deerslayer would be a nice platform but I'd really like one in the M1 platform.

Wait just little while. Iver Johnson has had a 9mm version out since 1985, and I just read where Citadel Arms (Legacy) is releasing a M-1 Carbine in 9mm this year. It shouldn't be too long before a 10mm follows.

Did a search for Iver Johnson and came up with nothing. Are they still in business?

If you own a Glock 20, Mech Tech makes a 10mm carbine conversion for $360.

Try this for the Iver Johnson. The article says they went out in 2012. Sorry, I overlooked that point.

I've been clawing through the net for tha last several weeks for information about. 10mil carbine. Not a lot out there.

Mech tech was mentioned. Goid solid platform. But by the time you build up a serviceable rifle, you're in it close to a grand. Toss in a new glock lower and you're over that. Way beyond the $365.00 base price.

Olympic arms makes a 10mm . Price is high and I can't get much info on it. Website isn't very informative I've got a call into them for a spec sheet and brochure..

Feather industries makes one but they have the worst website I've ever seen. This is exactly the one I want. But any info, reviews, opinions are non existant. I want it pretty bad but not sure I want th throw a grand into a black void and hope for the best.

If you find a decently rugged 10mil let me know.

That break down feather if literally keeping me awake at night.

Could a competent gunsmith convert an existing M1 Carbine to 10mm? Would it be worth it?

even if it could be done I doubt that it would be worth the cost. I would think that the old Ruger 44 mag carbine might be a better base gun for such a project but I am sure that it would be a pretty expensive project at that.

check out the guys on youtube who turned a 40 S&W Hi-Point into a 10 mm. It worked for them. I was also thinking about a a 10mm carbine and think that the Mec-Tech might be the way to go.

This would be a very fun carbine. Do you have link to an online article?

I want a 9mm carbine, but none of the options really do it for me, except an AR. However, 9mm AR's are too expensive for a plinker. IMHO.

I have my doubts about the manufacturing quality but this article makes it sound interesting.

These guys went ahead and turned it into a carbine.

Looks like a fun project for a guy who likes tinkering with guns.

Back when Ruger was making their PC carbines, I had hoped they would make on in 10mm. But it never happened. I all ways wondered if you could convert one of the PC 40 carbines to 10mm. I would want one that used a 15 to 20 round mag. I would be in just for grins.

A Mec-Tech for a Glock 20 would use Glock 15 rounders, or you could easily add the two rd extension to the 15's for 17.
