Recently the Mayor of Chicago claimed that Chicago's violence was the fault of Wisconsin and Indiana.

El Tejon, Director-at-Large of the Indiana State Rifle and Pistol Association, responds in Crain's Chicago Business:

Excellent response.

4% of the gangsters in urban areas commit 50% of the murders in the US. The overwhelming majority of these gangsters are violent repeat offenders.

Mayor Emanuel and his brethren should spend more time attacking criminals
and the root causes of crime instead of pandering to the anti-gun factions of their political party.

I assume this was also submitted to the Chicago newspapers as an editorial?

No, it is for Crain's. Crain's contacted me. An editor at Crain's, Ann Dwyer, sent me an e-mail around Columbus Day.

So, bloody El Tejon strikes again at the throat of emotionalistic statism using facts. Woe betide poor Rahm to be dragged thusly though the mire of truth, justice and the American way.:D:D

Never know if you don't try. Once written it is nothing to submit.

Just to clarify, this op ed was written for Crain's at Crain's request.

I did not "shop it around". An editor at Crain's contact me and asked that I write it.

An excellent rebuttal. Once again strong, solid facts trump unsubstantiated drival.

So how do you enthusiasts put this to use to expand the audience and get more people to see it.

Back-slapping is all well and good, but unless El Tejon has some opposition or there's some copyright issue it should be distributed to amplify his voice for our side.
