How many of you have experience with the shield? I'm wondering if it is worth picking one up?

My main concern with any handgun is reliability, do any of you have experiences showing one way or the other that you can share?

Overall how has your shield experience been?

I liked the 9mm Shield so much I bought a 40 S&W.

A couple lady friends bought two 9mm Shields and like them. One concealed carries hers.

No problems and very accurate.

I have a number of compact guns and the Shield is as good as any and better than most.

A few of them, compared in size to the Shield.

Reliability is right up there with all the other (decent) makers. I'm a true believer in the Shield. 500 trouble free rounds so far. My "go to" carry piece.
BTW, I prefer 40 S&W.

Same here with my Shield 9mm. The only grip with mine is trying to adjust the sights. The sights on mine were off and I found them to be a real problem to adjust.

It's very comfortable in my hand and easy to carry.

Reliability is excellent and it is accurate. I would like the trigger to be a little lighter but they don't all seem to be as heavy triggered as mine is.

Shield 9mm here....I've only had it a few months but she's been 100%. Excellent carry pistol, enough weight, grip, and size to shoot good. Slim enough to carry OWB without looking like you have a dead cat on your hip.

250 round no problem.
front sight was off center on mine.
a real bear to move..
Out past 10 yards mine shoots low.
Great to carry.
would I buy one again. Not sure.would I sell it probley not.

I have mixed feelings because of both front and back sights too tight also shoots a we bit low

M2, what are the guns in the bottom row?

M2 Carbine, nice photos but where the Shield shines is thickness which your photos obscure.

IF small is paramount, you should also show a Kahr PM9 or PM40 (or the value priced CM9 or CM40) along with the rest.

A PM40 has been my carry since they came out. I liked the idea of the Shield as I do a bit better with the M&P trigger than the Kahr but the Shield is about the size of the Kahr P9/P40, and not all that much smaller than an M&P9c except for thickness.

M2, what are the guns in the bottom row?

Looks to me like L to R: Ruger LCP .380, Kel-Tec P3AT .380, Ruger LC9, Beretta Nano.

Both of my Shields have been flawless from the beginning. A little judicious polishing with the dremel and an Apex striker block will cure most any trigger ills. Thin, easy to carry, accurate. What else do you want?

Ruger LCP--Kel Tec 32--Ruger LC9--NANO

True. The whole top row are double stack and a lot thicker than the Shield.

Glock 33 (357 SIG)--PX4 Sub Compact--CZ RAMI

Can't. The only Kahr I own is a Thompson. :)

I find it very fun to shoot. It is my main carry pistol. 500 rounds trouble free. Like others have said the sights are hard to move. I took mine to a smith to get the front sight moved over a little. No way I could move either sight.

If you have medium size hands and would like to have a better grip without compromising concealment then consider one of these

Love mine, I have large hands and have no issues whatsoever.
Shoots like a fullsize.

I love my Shield 40 .....,,,, I owned or tried many of the popular CCW weapons and the Shield is what I kept

I did add an inner tube to the grip. Best $6 investment I ever made
