I've got a friend who told me about an old BushMaster rifle that is for sale. Now, I'm strictly a handgun guy, so I have no idea about the value of older rifles. The guy was asking about $700 for it.

From what I can remember, there was no handle on top, it was just flat. There was no forward assist, the receiver was basically a rectangular, only a charging handle. It looks like there's a rod that runs from the barrel back to the receiver that cycles the rifle. It shoots 5.56 and it looks like all the furniture is solid bakelite.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about ???

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a "Bushmaster Assault Rifle", which I've actually never seen in the flesh, so to speak.

In fact, the only picture I've ever seen is on the CA DA's "assault weapons recognition" pdf.

It looked kinda roughly made, sorta like an AK/AR hybrid of some kind.

I have NO IDEA what they're worth.
