Buffalo Bore (http://www.buffalobore.com) has just introduced two 10mm loads (http://www.buffalobore.com/ammunition/default.htm#10mm). They'll be shipping starting this summer.
Thought you guys'd like to know.

Holy cow!!! Those are some stout loads! I'd like to see street results with that 180gr. JHP - should be very lethal indeed...

too expensive...........if it was for 50 then it wouldn't be a bad deal, but, for 20?...............Double Tap ammo is the best bet anyway...........

Well, it's always nice to find another 10mm ammo-maker. :)
But Buffalo Bore's 180gn 10mm Gold Dot load @ 1350fps yields 728fpe, not 782fpe. Obviously, in his excitement to get the load data posted the guy inverted the energy numbers.
Also Jem375's price point is a good one. At $21.99 per 20-rd box, that makes it effectively $55 for 50-rds - not including shipping. :scrutiny:
Compare DT's prices for 50-rds:

21.99/box:what:
I can load the same thing for about a 10th of that. Gimme a break:rolleyes:
If it were somthing special I could see it, but sheesh, were only talking GD or FMJ bullets here,

Always good to see another source of 10mm ammo, but their prices are a bit... uh... high. :scrutiny:
They've got the fastest 180gr 10mm load on the market by the advertised ballistics (1,350 ft/sec), though they are from a 5" barrel instead of the 4.6" barrels used for the marginally slower Double Tap (1,330 ft/sec) and Cor Bon (1,320 ft/sec) 180gr loads. Their 200gr load matches the Cor-Bon 200gr load (but from a longer 5" barrel vs. the 4.6" the Cor-Bon figures are from), and is slower than the Texas Ammunition and Double Tap 10mm loads.
I would have thought Buffalo Bore would have come out with a 220gr hardcast load, if anything.

I think the selling point of these is that the pressures are lower so they're safer in an older Delta Elite (the ones accused of fragility).
They've been doing a lot of high-performance, low pressure stuff lately. They've got a .38 Special load, 158 grains at 1,000 feet per second from a 2" barrel.
If you've got a newer Glock with a fully supported chamber barrel, then the pressure advantage is probably moot.
The price is about what you'd pay for a typical box of premium ammunition at a gun store, ('bout a buck a round, give or take), though with shipping the costs are higher. Some gun stores stock BB, though (none around here do).
From what they say, the loads they've produced are ones that have been requested the most. *shrug*

I put 180 gr Gold Dots over a case full of Blue Dot. IIRC this gives the same type of performance as these. To reload (not counting the cost of the case) is probably about $10
This was a load recommended by Mike McNett. Works well in my DE and no case bulge in the G20 with stock barrel
10 boxes pays for a Dillon 550 and all the other equipment you need

ALL of DoubleTap's loadings are below SAAMI 37,500psi and are safe for ANY 10mm pistol that is in good repair! Especially the Delta Elites!

Double tap Ammunition has the broadest variety. It is the best too! I say this because all of his products are hand inspected. The big boys can't say this, nor will they ever attempt to do so!
Mike McNett has put his heart and soul into the 10mm automatic. How many other people do you know put such energy and dedication into a single cartridge? I can't name a single one!
Buy from Doule Tap with confidence. If you have a 10mm automatic pistol in good condition, Mike's ammo shouldn't hurt it.
BTW, the early Colt Delta Elites are not weak. If you have the "bridge" of metal over the slide stop hole removed, any "frame cracking" will abruptly desist. :) My Dan Wesson Razorback does not have this vestigial acoutrement for this very reason. Has Bob Serva learned from Colt's mistakes? :D
God bless you all,
Scott

Definately sounds more like a 4 legged load rather than a 2 legged load. MarkCO over at GT took a nice elk with a 180gr. Gold Dot at about 1280fps with a single shot. I would seriously think the same bullet 70fps faster is a tad much for 2 legged self defense. My personal load for self defense is a 180gr. GD at 1200fps from Pro-Load. Anything faster and you are into hunting load territory.
