When he sells a mold he has you promise not to cast and sell them.

He sells them for $50/100 + shipping last I checked, which is what prompted me to look to Accurate Molds since I also wanted other weights for my .44/.45 cal pistols.

Overall his bullets are very nice and designed well too. I decided to widen the meplat a little more and make some other minor changes so that it takes up less powder space with more weight. His bullet is a redesign of Lee's 255 grn .45 Colt bullet.

I'm not sure how much, if any, difference there is between a ROA and any of the '58's, but I've used those 240 grn Kaido bullets with 35 grns of 3F T7 and it seats just a little below the mouth of the cylinder. I also get bullet creep every so often after a few shots.

I bought them when I didn't know of any others and they were $40/100. But there just isn't anything like them available. Most are RN bullets or are lighter in weight.

Enough to kill just about anything in North America with performance on par with or slightly better than the original .45 Long Colt black powder load which itself took every dangerous game animal in North America for many many decades.

How much does the bullet weigh? Can someone post a picture?

I have both of Kaido's .44/.45 cal bullets.

The 240 grn version meant for the reproductions are .456" at their largest band and are .616" long.

The 255 grn version meant for the ROA is .460" at it's largest band and is .635" long.

They, cast by him, are 7-11 BHN.

Here they are side by side:

I'm not sure why my photos usually post upside down… Anyone know how to fix this?

Turn the monitor over.

Thanks for the photo, I had never seen them. They appear to be similar to the WFN bullets from one of the other mold makers, I forget which one. He offers WFN and some other style. (Apparently, I need more coffee.)

This is a Cabela's ball from the starter pack (.451"?).

Ah ha!

The screen on my phone may flip, but the orientation of the pic does not...
