Vote for gun rights in the uk

And than there is Austria.

place your vote here: " Finde ich eine gute Idee: Nachdem immer mehr Polizeiposten schließen, muss man sich selbst verteidigen können."

Its about the possibility to defend yourself with a firearm, because more police stations have to be closed in austria.

Thank you!

The UK one seems to be closed or taken down. The Austrian one will not allow me to vote, but shows those in favor of gun ownership around 60%.

Sorry I was to the party late. please post again next time this comes up. Also please feel free to PM if you have the time as well. I'll surely vote next time if I can.

It'd be awesome if we could get some kind of international movement started for all people throughout the world to have a right to self-defense (where they aren't the aggressor but hapless victims through no fault of their own) and the possession of firearms for said self-defense. We're seeing it come to light in Mexico that an armed citizenry is a liberated citizenry that at times must stare in the face of authority and tell it that they are wrong and will not be adhered to.

Money buys power, and if we could all organize our dirty pennies and beer can salvage, we as a people united could buy a lot of power.

I'm again impressed with how fortunate we americans are to have RTKBA in our constitution.

When I was studying in New Zealand there were many Europeans studying at the same university and one of the things I am most proud of doing there was taking about ten of them out to shoot on several occasions. They all had fun several who had previously been afraid of guns now stated their desire to get a gun.

So if you have a chance take a European out to shoot and we can start to get them to support the RTKBA on a larger basis

I think taking new shooters out is the best way to keep our side strong no matter where they come from in the world.

Keep up the fight!!! Gun owners need to support each other, regardless of where we live or what asinine gun laws our place of resident have. There maybe a future were we will need to count on our European brethren to help us out with RTKBA.

i think the main reason why people here in europe are afraid of guns is because they just dont know much about guns, except for what the media shows to them. we dont have a popular gun culture, at least here in germany.

i can understand that fear. people are feared of things they dont know.
i was always interested in guns, but i`ve connected firearms with murder and war.
because of that i did not serve in the german army. (shame on me, i was a dumb 18 year old...)
i`ve shot my first in the age of 28 (2 years ago). during that time i learned, that a gun offers much more than the use as murder weapon!

yeah, thats one more pro gun guy! i try as often as i can to bring sceptic friends to the range. everyone of them had fun!

and yes, i truly believe that responsible gun owners should support each other!

i dont want mrs malmstroms anti gun laws in europe!

if her disarming plans take effect here in europe, anti gunners in the usa will have a new breeding ground.

armadio, inviting new shooters is always the best way to go. Every new shooter I've brought to the range has been a positive outcome. They didn't all go rush out and buy a gun, but the fear definitely lifted away and they had a better understanding and respect for guns.

Well its not the same in all Europeen countries. UK is one of the worst and I feel bad for you. I think its important that we all stand united, hunters and sport shooters. Legal gun owners which already is law abiding should not see increased gun control and rules. EU must take action against mobs and militia and illigal guns from former wars, thats whats must be done not forbidd hunters or sport shooters to own guns.

In the UK, the lack of unity between all shooters in the country was what enabled the erosion of gun rights over the past few decades. The hunters, shotgunners and riflemen did not speak up for the handgunners in 1997. The attitude can be summed up as:
"Guns are lethal weapons and the government and police are quite right to have stringent controls over those who may own them. But the type of sport shooting pursued by me and my Members and friends is safe, decent and honourable and shouldn't be trodden on too hard, as hardly any of us are killers. But all the guns that I and my friends don't personally use are very dubious and those who do enjoy them should be treated with grave suspicion and probably banned".

First they came for the pistols, and I did not speak out...because I did not shoot pistols......

Blackstone, we had much of that in America as well. Many hunters agreed with banning those scary black guns and other shooters didn't see why one would need a handgun.
I think most gun owners have woken up and realize now that we're all in this together. But it took the strict gun control of some States like California and New York to show them that if you give an inch they will take a mile.
