It's that time of year again: the legislature is in session in Sacramento. CCRKBA's California office has prepared an analysis of most of the RKBA bills in play, complete with committee/hearing data/time info where known, and legislative contact info for the two most important committees:

http://www.equalccw.com/2004bills.html

A total of *20* bills are discussed. Support/watch/oppose data is provided for each, dates of next committee hearing/location where known and legislative contact info is provided for the Assembly and Senate safety committees.

This page may be linked to by any basically pro-freedom website of any
description.

As a general service, we are also publishing a "raw Excel spreadsheet" of ALL bills in play, with limited descriptions produced by a non-partisan legislative staffer within the capitol. CCRKBA does NOT have control over the accuracy of this spreadsheet's data and does not stand by the accuracy of the brief bill descriptions, committee dates or similar as we didn't write it.

We're passing this along as a general research tool; parties interested in a given bill are advised to look them up in detail at the state's bill database at: http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/bilinfo.html

Bumping this - I completely rebuilt the data in HTML, did a lot of cleanup, plus did an index with internal links to make it much easier to use.

I've also added legislative contact info for the members of the two key committees (Senate Safety, Assembly Safety).
