Took my P225 out for a proper test yesterday at the local indoor range. The barrel on the P225 is only about three inches long, and this one is well used. But accuracy is still extremely impressive. With arms rested on the bench, I was able to place seven in the black at fifty feet! For off-hand, I kept nearly all rounds in the scoring zone, with most in the black. I've never seen such an accurate semi. No jams, nor even a hint of a rumor of a jam.

It's a keeper!

225's are great! Bought mine used. It's a JE date stamp (1984). Thing looks like it was tied to a fender and dragged around town, but it fits my hand perfectly, easy to conceal and accurate!

I believe the barrel length is closer to 4 inches (3.9).

Yeah, being a revolver fan I wasn't counting the chamber. You're quite right.

My P-225 is the tribal elder of my handgun collection. It stays when others get sold off.
I used to be able to shoot smiley faces on targets at 25 yards with it.
Simply put, the P-225 rocks.

Glad to hear that you enjoy your 225, Cosmoline. I've had mine for 12 years, and I have no complaints at all.

In fact, being cold and rainy today, it's staying nice and warm, sitting on my left hip. Because...you know, I care about my 'kids'. :D

Greetings,

I picked up a 225 a couple of years ago, and while I still have it, for some reason I can't shoot it well. Out of all the pistols in my inventory, this one requires the most concentration for me to get a decent group. It fits my hand great though. Glad it works for you.
