Just a note to CA residents who haven't gotten their HSC (Handgun Safety Certificate) yet...it's no big deal. Went to deal close to work yesterday, read the booklet, paid the fee, took the test (got 100% on it :D ) and now I'm ready to start buying hadnguns again.
Easy, common sense test w/ well worded questions.

Was it strangely reminiscent of the BFSC test? The HSC booklet had nearly identical information as the old BFSC booklet. I'm thinking they just renamed and reissued everything to enforce the new "law."

The actual test itself was worded more precisely than the BFSC test. IT was far ambiguous so there usually was only one answer that made sense for each question.
The test shouldn't be that big a hurdle for most people.

What we need is a test that people have to take before exercising their voting privilege. ;)

I've lost track of my California firearms regulations, is this the one where they give you the number tattooed on your forearm to register you? I need to get one of those.
