I read the comments on Wayne Hollis Fincher and could hardly believe all the wrong opinions on what really happened in this case. I have followed this case from the very beginning and had actual contact with Mr. Fincher over the phone. I also had contact with his two defense attorney's that server "pro bono". Mr. Fincher is a decent law abiding man who was grossly mistreated by a hostile, prejudiced judge that should be thrown off the bench. This case came up before the Heller decision and the one in Chicago. If it had come up after then Mr. Fincher would probably not have gone to prison. Mr. Fincher did have legal representation. So much for the advisability of hiring an attorney. The first attorney is in the same prison that Mr. Fincher was in on a non related charge. People, get your facts straight before you blow off steam against an innocent man.

This Fincher person was "militia commander" who made some full auto sub guns and then told the ATF about them in an attempt to get a 2A case to the SCOTUS.

It didn't work and he went to jail for NFA violation.

It seems like this is another case of someone doing a Google search for someone's name, finding a thread from 2008 (the last time there was any substantial discussion about the person named) and then posting something as out of the blue to chastise us for not knowing the true story. Rarely there is anything more than a single ranting post as the poster is just hopping from forum to forum as their search moves on.

Sadly, this happens far too often.
