Which Hangun Do You Use Most?

The handgun I shoot most varies from week to week. If I have a new one it will be going to the range for a while. If there's a match that's best shot with a auto then I'll take a 1911, in .45 or 9mm, or the Browning HP out.

The handgun I USE most, is a Smith M649. It's my carry/house gun. I shoot it fairly often, but I use it every day.

Most used gun the last couple weeks has been my SIG 229. For the year before that, it was probably my Kahr P0 Covert. Single most used centerfire gun of all time is my Taurus PT99.

I really like 1911s, CZs and BHPs... If I could only have one gun, it would be some derivative of one of those... Probably a CZ in 9.

I go through pistols like a state college student goes through girlfriends, but my first pistol, a Beretta 92FS, has survived it all. Believe me, it takes more than nostalgia for me to hold onto something, so it's a good thing it's so darn good-looking, ergonomic, and reliable. 'Course, the fact that over time I've gotten up to 2" groups at 15 yards (using Weaver) with it helps.

My current sweetie-pie is my Sig 228, which when considering that I'm getting near to the same accuracy level as the Beretta, will probably be around for a long time. But overall, the Beretta has received the most of my attention in the past seven years.

1. I carry a Colt Commander just about every day.

2. When I go to the range, I usually shoot it a few rounds, but most of my actual shooting is done with an old (1948 vintage) Government Model, a High Power, or one of several revolvers.

That's a tie between my 2 carry pieces: my SA Stainless Mil-Spec 1911, and my S&W Model 10. I tend to use my beater gun (model 10) more often, but when I go target shooting, I tend to shoot more out of my 1911. (as that's what I carry when I'm afraid the S might HTF) So it's kind of a close race there. The Buckmark gets a close third, but it's been acting up lately, so it's just all the past rounds that have gone through it that keep it in the running.

The one I shot and carried the most was a lightly modified LW Officer's I have had for well over a decade and carried just about everyday. I have a Ciener .22 conversion unit for it that goes to the range with me every time!
The Officer's has been replaced my a Colt Concealed Carry Officer's that I recently picked up and my Ciener fits it and seems to be a little more accurate) too. So it will become my most carried and shot pistol.
Been going to the range ALOT more lately...once every two weeks, cause I met a lady that loves to shoot. She burns through 200 rounds of Nine each trip with her Kahr PM9(Walmart's, 20 bucks). But the next gun on the ist is a Ruger .22/45 for her plinking pleasure(and mine).
Then, because she loves my Para LDA Companion and is interested in IDPA, we are looking a a Dillion Square B to lower the price of our favorite fun(while dressed!).

Glock 23C. I'm determined to make this thing feel like a natural extension of my body in very short order. My pistol skills are horrid by my own admission because of neglect but after going back to handguns and 3 days in a row at the range with the gun I managed to drop 5 rounds into a 3" hole at 7 yards in about 3 seconds. Getting more confident.

Another CZ'er here. I shoot my Kadet the most on top of 75B. I'm starting to shoot it on a PCR more often too. I don't anticipate bringing it to the range as often in the near future, as I'm trying to improve on my 1911 shooting.

I target shoot a lot in a National Forrest in Colorado. This target pistol is cheap on ammunition and easier on the forrest. Does not attract a lot of attention like bigger calibers will.

Well I have to attend classes...park off campus...and my "travels"...

Yup, I counted 'em, 28 handguns currently.
2 on the way.
The one I shoot the most right now is one of the cheaper ones in my collection, a CZ75b with hogue grips, and two pre-bans.
It may sound like circular reasoning, but it's a nine, so it's cheaper to practice with.
Because I practice with it more, I am more proficient with it than any of my other guns.
Because I'm more proficient with it, I tend to shoot it more, esp. in run and gun type events like steel plate shoots.
Because it gets shot so often, the trigger is getting quite nice.
But I got a CZ97b last month, and that may soon be giving it a run for the money.

S&W model 66-5. Ruger Mk II is a close second and my S&W17-2 is probably going to over take both of th eprevious handguns this summer for most used handgun.

It seems that I can't keep enough loaded ammunition on hand for the S&W 66. My wife shoots her 686 very frequently too so that eats up more 38 special ammunition.

Right now, during the summer My Glock 19 and my KT P-32 get the most range time as they get carried the most (with the odd weekend for my house gun, an SP 101 in .357 and 3" bbl).

One of the reasons I enjoy shooting handguns more than rifles is because I can take five or six handguns and gear without making "trips." Lately, I've been shooting my USP 45F every time I go to the range. I always carry one XD (9 or 357 Sig) and one 10mm (1006 or Glock 20). Then it's a toss-up.
