Planning to buy a front rest for casual bench shooting.
Which one would you recommend? Price is about the same.
Thanks.

Which one costs less money? They are both high quality products.

Just my .02,

That's about it, although I would lean towards the Bald Eagle. Less bulky. I like the way it squeezes the bag better, as well as the wheel.

In a registered match, the rifle has to be able to be picked straight up off the bag. No squeezing the bag over the stock too tight.

My Bald Eagle (http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=190103&d=1382190675) rest is the older style. Steady as a rock.

I have been told that the current Bald Eagle rests are made in China and not as well built as the older once (don't know if this is true).

I think I will get the Sinclair.

Yes, I made it using a radial arm saw. I also made one for wind flags, barrel vise, towels, press (http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=120914&d=1273442371), powder, etc. It had a removable "insert" sort of like a tool box. The wind flags were under it. I kept it under my load table, while the rest box would be down by the firing line. It was the same except not as deep or tall and much wider. They are made of pine. I also made a load box (http://www.thehighroad.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=165520&d=1338589647) that sat on my table. It is poplar.

Rear bag, elbow bag, mat (Under the shooting glasses) for rear bag (Cut from drawer liner to help the bag from skidding), marker to mark where my rests feet were on the bench so I could put it back in the same place when my relay came back up, baby powder for the bags, grease for the locking lugs, two small towels, one to lay down under my ammo box, and one to wipe sweat etc as needed, an aluminum disc to put under the rear foot, which had a cam to go from sighter to record target, timer so I knew how long I had left to shoot my group, and muffs.

The Bald Eagle Slingshot is a nice rest, but I would go with a windage top, and add a speed screw to either rest.
