Some of you may think it is a wastefull excess, but I have always wanted one. Do I "need" one? No, but still I like these sort of things. I have so many Glocks, 1911s, and most other semiautos that I wanted to try something different.... ;)

Congratulations on your new big toy. :) I'm sure you've heard it before but I'd work up to the heavy bullet 454 loads slowly so you don't develop a nice big flinch to go along with the new gun. :D

Nice photos too, I especially like the first one.

Nice gun! I've been trying to save up for one, how much did you end up paying for her?

That barrel design is definitely one of the prettier on the market.

Congrats and enjoy!

I was given the use of one of those. Given 100 or so rds of various loads from factory to reloads. I got addicted...I may have returned about 20 or so unfired rds...getting short on time or he would have gotten back nothing but brass...

Third_Rail,

I got VERY lucky and picked it up for $450. It had 40 rounds through it and looks brand new.

I just hope it doesn't hurt too much to shoot this thing once in a while..... ;)

You know what I'd do next?

Go order some of the new Speer 250grain Gold Dot 45LCs. From that barrel they'll do about...hmmm...well 900fps in a 5", figure you'll be lucky to hit 1,000 but that's OK, they work well at any speed from 850ish on up.

These are a GREAT defensive load. Quite possibly one of the best ever...it's the same design as that new 135grain 38+P except "supersized" :D. Weirdly enough, that dang Taurus would turn into a very effective home defense gun with such in it, and ye GODS would it scare the hell out of some moron at 2:00am :D.

That scares the :cuss: out of me just looking at it.

I can't imagine being on the business end at 2:00 am. :D
