So what is everyone doing to battle delays from suppliers for specialized bullets? I have favorite loads with 158gn Deepcurls and 158gn Sierra JSPs. I haven't seen either since Newtown. I just saw the Sierra website . they are now spinning up on 6-7mm rifle bullets but no promise of pistol bullets this year. Are you all giving up on those product lines? I've been sitting on what's left of my loads post hunting seasons (2 now) But thinking of spending time and money to standardize on a new manufacturer that can provide products I need when I need it.

I buy from whoever has the bullet weight I am looking for. I find no need to be brand loyal.

You learn to either stock up on favorite bullets of work up loads for what is available. If you are shooting "specialized" bullets, you should always be well stocked ( two years supply)

I have been looking for Hornady 155 grain XTP' s since I started to reload because it was the style bullet that was in one of the two factory loads I use in my 40 S&W. Since I have not been able to find any I just bought 250 round box of 150 grain Nosler JHP as a replacement for now. They use the same load data as the XTP bullets and will work at about the same speeds. Just try to find a bullet with the same characteristics as the one you are using and go from there.

Everyone has been doing this. This is another reason there is a shortage. When you cannot find certain bullets and or certain powder, you have to buy several to try, hoping to find a new load that works as good as your favorite. I know I am guilty of it too. I have an 8 pounder of 4007SSC that I bought just because it could work in one of my rifles because I couldn't get H414 or H380. Can't find 175 SMK's? You end up buying a couple of other brands of 175's or even 180's. It just keeps on going and going. When this is over we are going to be the most stocked up we have ever been!

Some of these ammo cycles along with financial market cycles and world peace/US deployment cycles are just going to end someday.
