I'm going to Chattanooga this coming weekend and I've got a quesiton on CCW. I know that Tennesse recognizes my SC CCW and it looks like the usual places are prohibited, (Places that serve alchol, schools, etc) but what about hotel rooms if the hotel has a bar? Also, my daughter wants to go to the aquarium. Do they prohibit CCW? What about the Civil War parks? If any of ya'll have know or can point me in the right direction it'll be appreciated!

I'd call the attorney general's office and ask them to fax you the answers to your questions. If its at all in doubt, you want it in writing.

Your hotel room is not off limits. Only the bar/restaurant area is. If the bar controlled access to the hotel then no one under 21 could stay there, right?

I don't know about the aquarium. Is it owned or run by the state or a city?

City and state owned parks are off limits as well as walking trails.

More info is available here: http://www.state.tn.us/safety/handguncodes.html

Damn, that's a lot of restrictions. Not saying all of them are unreasonable though.

That's more restrictions than we have here in SC. I can carry in city and state parks here.

I'm still not sure about the aquarium though. It doesn't look like it's ran by the city/county/state/any other government agency. Heck, it doesn't look like like I can leave them in the car if I had to if we went to a park.
