BAGHDAD, IRAQ: A armed member of Iraqi Shiite radical leader Moqtada al-Sadr's Army of Mehdi militia shout anti-US slogans under a poster of his leader in Baghdad's Shiite neighborhood of Sadr City 06 April 2004. More than 100 Iraqis have been killed and hundreds wounded in the past two days as coalition troops crack down on al- Sadr, hospital and military sources said Tuesday. Another 20 coalition troops have been killed in the same fighting and in actions against Sunni insurgents west of the capital, military sources said. AFP PHOTO /AHMAD AL-RUBAYE

Looks like a good place to put a 2,000 lb. JDAM.
I wonder if he'll be at the gunshow next weekend to sell that thing? Everyone's been looking for one.

May all our enemies be stupid enough to remove the shoulder stocks from their main battle rifles. They won't hit anything they are trying to.

Youd think he could have had at least ONE mag chromed as well. Why the heck would anyone take the stock OFF an AK when so many folding stocks are available if you want it to be more portable?

brad cook, Can you imagine the mayhem that would ensue if that guy just walked in to a gun show?!Yeah—it'd look like the NYSE trading floor in that scene late in Trading Places; he'd be surrounded by screaming wannabe-buyers and could just stand there with an Eddie Murphy smile, watching the price skyrocket.
The framed picture, on the other hand, would be over on a table next to the beef jerky, marked down from $500 to $200, then down, down, and currently at "for you my friend, today only—75¢." Then the seller would have second thoughts, draw crosshairs on the picture, jack the price back up to $100 and sell it in 30 seconds.

Yes, though I think it's safe, full, and semi. Check out this thread. (http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=67093&highlight=gunshow)
I think "Da Switch" is surpassed only by the "Mall Ninja" around here ;) .

It looks like someone behind the guy with the gray beard is holding the poster; otherwise, he's got something terribly wrong with his shoulders, and his arms stick right up from his back or shoulder blades.
He or somebody in front of him is holding up the ChromeAKWidDaSwitch. Maybe it's the same guy that Werewolf shows us in his thread:

EDIT: I think I see a pinky ring on the hand holding ChromeAKWidDaSwitch No.1, but no pinky ring on this guy holding ChromeAKWidDaSwitch No. 2. Maybe they did a group buy?

The chrome ones have a rep for getting really uncomfortably hot to shoot after a mag on full. Still work, apparently, just really, really hot, as in smoking, much quicker than the plain regular ones. I wouldn't have experience with it, though.
Regarding the absent stock, it makes it a whole lot easier to use the regionally patented, over-the-head-hose'em spray and pray technique. I hope that particular technique maintains it's popularity in that part of the world, at least by the folks shooting at the wrong people over there...

Go to the dump, find an old piece of carpet that has been half buried and covered with ...ummmm...waste. Burn it over a hot fire for a few hours. Roll it in some sand and you have a reasonable imitaion roast camel.
Enjoy.
