I have found a replacement for the Rossi I had stolen from my house many years ago...but now I have a dilemma, they also have the Charles Daly "Liberty II" 12 gauge new in the box for 75 cheaper.... I know daley makes a decent 1911 but I haven't heard anything about their Cowboy guns before. Anyone got some info that would help me make the decision??
Both the Rossi and the Liberty have 20" barrels, the Rossi is a 20 gauge and the Liberty is a 12 gauge.

Buy the Baikal Bounty Hunter! Hehehehe The Rossi IS what I would buy. The 20 bores kick terribly though. There is less mass than the 12 bore and recoil is felt more. OUCH! The Charles Daly/KBI Liberty II shotguns are Turkish junk. Don't waste your money. They are no longer imported and had a poor reputation. IIRC, there are no parts available for them either. The Phillipines manufactured shotguns are fine. Do not buy the Turkish shotguns though.

Thanks Josey!!
I put a $50 deposit on the gun today and will be sending a money order for the remainder along with the transfering FFL certificate within a day or two... I can't wait to take her to the range! :D
The recoil on the 20 gauge isn't much for me, I'm used to it as I owned one of these previously. Dad bought one as his first personal gun purchase when he graduated highschool in 1960 and I grew up using it to take care of snakes and other vicous critters around the house (we had ten acres out in the woods that were surrounded on three sides by about 100 more acres of woodland). The shotgun was supposed to leave with me when I got my own place but before I moved out we got robbed and the shotgun was one of the losses. The worst was finding out a year and a half later that the idiot teen that stole the gun had disposed of it in a local river when he couldn't figure out how to fire it (exposed hammers were apparently a mystery to the young punk). The same robbery lost us our Marlin .35 Lever action w/scope that had been my granfathers hunting gun and a .38 S&W revolver that had been a gift from my uncle to my parents right after I was born. Needless to say I have a very low opinion of those that can't leave other peoples property alone.

Two Mossbergs, a 25 Raven, a 22 Lorcin, a Ruger P-95, two Ruger MKIIs, a 10/22, a Savage 22, a Rossi 38 and a H&R 32 were stolen from me a couple of years ago. I understand.

Ouch, it's a horrible feeling of violation when you walk in the door and realize your house has been ransacked. :( That robbery was one of 3 incidents that made me finally decide to get a CCW. I missed running into them by about 10 minutes as I stopped to talk to my professor at college before I went home that day. I don't know what I would have done had I rolled up on them in the middle of it, especially considering they had three guns and ammo for each at tha point. Definately made me think.

I saw a Rossi SxS 12ga "Overland" with exposed hammers for $450 the other day in a local gun store. If your interested in that let me know and I'll get you the info.
