That's a good price. if you check in over at CMP, there will be plenty of detractors over this bullet. A few years ago, going against the grain, I purchased 1,000. You may have to work at it a bit harder, but it was satisfying to find and work out a load that the Garand liked and gave halfway decent accuracy, 1-2" grps at 50yds. What more do you need for just punching holes in paper. Have some fun with them.

I have in the past, Pulled the bullets like these from surplus 7.62x54 ammo and then loaded them in the .303, or back into reloadable 7.62x54 cases with better powder and new primers.
I would also run some of them thru my Lee Size All sizing die that was .308 and then loaded them in .308's or .30.06's.
They shot excellent for a surplus bullet with a steel core.
I did save the surplus powder and reused it, and loaded the Berdan cases with pistol powder and Cast Lead bullets, even though the old primers were the reason the ammo was iffy at best and corrosive.

Go tor the surplus bullets, and find ways to use them in your rifles.

Went to the website, did not find the answer to this question: Are they steel jacketed or are they gilding metal jackets? Looking to find a bullet like this but not steel jacketed.

Are those 223 tracers they have? When you scroll down a bit, "non painted tips", as in the tracers that you can see the rounds flying? Ive always wanted to try some of those, in not very dry conditions of course.
