I know this question has come up before. However, I am asking in a different way, and for a yes or no from my worthy peers here at "The High Road"

I am not interested in feedback as to other alternatives or feelings about NRA. I just want a yes or no answer to the question!!

When it comes time for our president, Charlton Heston, to step aside, would you endorse the election of Tom Selleck as the next
president of NRA. YES or NO.

Yes.....but unlikely it will happen, Selleck is still making a good living in the land of make believe, his taking the NRA top spot will undoubtably blackball some of his job opportunities. Heston was blackballed for his participation.

Troubles me that we look to "Celebrities" for our leadership ranks, but the reality is their high profile opens doors that can help get our message out. If Heston sends a request letter for money the bucks pour in....letter from anyone else gets far less results. Have a meeting announcing Heston will be there and the place will be packed with cameras, the curious, and the faithful. Celebrities draw large audiences, it's a fact of life...this translates into high membership numbers. One has to be careful going to the "celebrity personel pool"....could get some skeletons and baggage that the opposition would exploit.

Kayne Robinson will most likely be the next President. I've had the privilege to work with him on many projects. One of the most politically savy people I've known....understands the media, fund raising, and is a superb public speaker. He may not be as well known as a celebrity, but his leadership ability is unmatched.

YES.

Mind you, there's other good choices too, but it comes down to which celeb will go for it. I think the concept of a celebrity NRA Prez is now a well-proven concept.

Before I comment on it I want to hear more information about where he would like to take the NRA and what his views are...

I'm with Jim Diver on this one. While I would welcome Selleck, I would want to hear what his plans are. With all due respect to Heston and LaPierre, the next generation of NRA leadership needs to be be more agressive with restoring our rights.
