I was just wondering why guys shooting SC are carrying around multiple shotguns.

I see them wheeling their golf, oops range carts, and have an O/U and an autoloader. And the guys and the carts have like a rack of S/G's on them. Why all the guns? Is this becoming more like golf, where you have your driver, 7 iron and a putter?

Maybe Will can answer this question.

bamf,
I hear all kinds of reason.......backup guns, different guns for different presentations, etc. None of which make much sense really.

If your gun don't work, fix it, or get another one. You can't shoot good scores consistantly if you don't have confidence in your equipment!

When you get down to it, its usually that the shooter just has multiple guns, and likes shooting them. Nothing wrong with that, just admit it:p

Pick a gun, shoot it all the time. If it doesn't function properly, fix it, or get another gun:scrutiny: if youwant to shoot good scores...

if you want to have fun, take your favorite clay killin' machine, your HD shotgun, your 28ga quail gun, and your grandfathers double barrel hammer gun.......switch every stand. Have fun!, just don't expect to shoot your best....

Thanks Will...I was just wondering since the guys I see doing this usually have patches galor and all decked out, so I thought I was missing something.

What do you shoot by the way?

I never see this where I shoot. I may have 2 guns on my cart, but it's because I'm carrying one for a friend.

bamf,
I shoot a BERETTA DT10 Trident Sporting w/32" barrels. Chokes by SEMINOLE, re-stocked by Bob's Custom...

Maybe they are just showing off in the same manner that some clay shooters change chokes at every station whether they need to or not.

I shoot a 32" light barreled over/under for sporting clays and have never felt the gun was too unwieldy for the close incomer at my club that passes about 5 yards overhead or the 45 yard crosser that we shoot from a tower.
