It's been sometime since I've heard anything about the UPS boycott.
Can't remember exactly what it was about...wasn't it that they would not ship firearms via ground????? anybody remember?

Got a note from a young lady whose dad is a UPS manager, here's his response

Look at a number of threads on The Firing Line, our predecessor forum (click here (http://www.thefiringline.com/forums/search.php?searchid=3901) for a list generated via the Search function on "UPS boycott"). There's plenty of discussion there.

Ironically, when she told me about Starbucks, I stopped visiting them.

Huh? What's up with Starbucks? I go there everyday at least once and have never seen anything anti at any of the stores here.

Anyway, UPS and FedEx both require handguns be shipped overnight.

We just had both handguns and longguns shipped to us. Handguns came via UPS overnight and longguns came UPS ground.

Thanks for your response and I'll get back to you regarding the reason.

Uhhh, so they can charge more money? Seriously, if theft were really a problem, why not just require a large box?

i hate to ship ups...the local hub makes it be disassembled and in a hard plastic case for shipping...and they cut open the box to make sure...i send all my long guns via post office and any handgun goes fedex.....
