My buddy just picked up a like new Browning HP Mk III with no visible outside wear and internals in excellent condition, three Brit MilSurp preban mags and one Argie MilSurp preban mag for $500. Did he get a good deal? He didn't get an owners manual. Where can he find one online?

Your friend got a screaming deal on wheels.
People are always selling owners manuals on Ebay, or you can get a .pdf version on www.Browning.com
Let us know how it shoots!

Those pre-ban mags might almost be worth $500 by themselves...

Go to Stephen A. Camp's website and read all about the BHP.

Printed everything for my buddy. I'll give it to him when I see him.
Any other comments on the price?

SOG has Argie made refinished FM HPs. My buddy thought about buying one of those but he wanted a FN Browning Mk III. I told him it was a good deal.

I got my mags for about $5 a piece a few years ago. First I thought they would be USA Mags, but when I noticed that they all were original FN with a couple MecGars in the lot I bought all 60 for sale, 48 13`s and 12 20`s, some even with British floorplated from the 60`s and 70`s.
They all were new or like new
nope, won`t give away any
I think 500 for a used BHP is a bit on the higher side, but the real question is...what is it worth to HIM.
