Between Meprolight & Trijicon, i'd have to say Trijicon..

The only problem is that they are the more expensive of the two.:)

As I've posted on various threads on TFL (try a search of the archives over there for this same question): I have Meprolight, Trijicon, and "PT" night sights on different pistols.

In order of brightest to dimest: Trijicon, Meprolight (almost tied with Trij.), PT a more distant third.

In order of "toughness": Meprolight is a little ahead of trijicon because of the lens-armoring of the vials, then "PT" a distant third.

In order of "build quality": Trij/Mep tied, PT a distant third.

I have only owned Trijicon and MMC. Both were high quality, the MMC sights were brighter and you can get them in a pattern other than 3 -dot. Mine are dot front - bar rear.

I must be the only one who perfers the straight eights. I thing the dot on dot set up of the heinies are much easier. But I do confess to having some xpress sights I enjoy.

Another fan of the Heinie straight eights. Wasn't a fan of night sights either, until I need'em.

I like Meprolights...a third cheaper than Trijicons, and they offer the same quality and performance. Just had another set installed on my SIG P226 today.

I prefer Meprolights over Trijicons. To me, Trijicons are too bright and seem to have a smaller diameter of illumination.

Straight 8's are nice...
