well, Detroit area, anyway. yeah, I'm sure I can head to the northwest side and pick one up no problem. :neener:

but seriously. the only place I've seen that stocks SAR's is Midwest in Royal Oak, and that place seems like a total rip-off most of the time. any suggestions as to other places that carry Milsurps and C&Rs that aren't out to rape you in the Metro Detroit area??:banghead: I'm really jonesin' for a semi-rifle, and a SAR seems just the ticket for a first semi (excluding my 10/22, of course). and, ya know, it'll keep my M44 and 91/30 company. :)

Street price is probably around $400 bucks or so. Don't know what that translates to in terms of Crack, but probably around 20 rocks.

Or you COULD buy it legally from any of the dealers listed here: http://www.auctionarms.com/help/FFLNetwork.cfm
or you can go here: http://www.gunbroker.com/user/dealernetwork.asp

Just enter Michigan as your state and it brings up over 100 dealers who are willing to accept a transfer. You can avoid taxes buy buying from any auction on auctionarms.com or gunbroker.com and arrange the transfer. You don't need a store for that.

Try the gunshow next weekend at the Gibraltar Trade Center in Taylor. There is at least one dealer who is usually there with several SAR-1s for just a bit over $300. Don't go on Friday, a lot of tables are not set up yet.
