That is one kick-ass carbine. Saw one for the first time at the Knob Creek show, and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It's got great lines, and very comfortable to hold.
I swear - if you stood Carmen Electra next to the Storm, and I could only fondle one of them, she'd be pretty lonely...
Pretty pricey gun, but someday I'll own one.

Factory and after market rails are in short supply, but here is where you can found out who has what...

I am still awaiting delivery on side/lower and top rails. When folks get them in stock, they sell quick or are already presold.
I don't know about bypassing Carmen Electra, but I really like my Storm. I have just under 2K through and am still getting used to it, but my impression so far is that it is an excellent little gun, accurate and reliable. There are better shooters than me, but I had no problem consistently hitting a 6x6" plate at 100 yards with iron sights.

And their solution is not being produced anymore, read it here (http://www.kurtskustomfirearms.citymax.com/board/board_topic/11341/45536.htm) on their discussion forum.
I am waiting, I got the carbine, I can wait for the rail until more options are available. Good luck to those who just have to have it, it will probably be torture!

for what you paid for the storm, the rails should have been included...

The lack of a scope rail as standard equipment was a primary deciding factor in my selection of a used PC9 over a new Storm. That, and the fact that I got the Ruger for about half the price of the Storm.

You got a Ruger PC for under $300?

No, but I didn't pay much more than that. I got the Ruger for 51 percent of the list price of a Storm and for 61 percent of the lowest price I could find for a CX-4. That's close enough to "about 50 percent" for a liberal arts major like me.
While doing the math on this I noticed that Beretta is not asking any more for the .45 ACP version of the CX-4 due out this fall. :p

I got my Storm for $459 OTD so I can live with waiting for the rails. It had a side rail with it so I went ahead and mounted a light on it and put a laser on the barrel. I JUST LOVE IT! Got some 30 round mags for it, too!:D :D :D

Where did you get the Storm for that price? I've been shopping for one since last fall and the best price I have found was $538. Please share the details.

Well Sporting Arms is selling them for $529

I purchased bunches of guns from them and can vouch that they are a standup company with great customer service.

Only if you're a machinist. The Storm has a raised area where the top rail goes. The rail itself has a groove down the middle that fits snugly over that raised area.
I agree that the Storm should have come with a top rail, but if they were readily available, I wouldn't care. It keeps someone else who doesn't want an optic from spending $40 more on the bottom price I guess.
Thanks to a super-generous fellow member, I got mine last week, and my $28 Tasco "Red Dot" came today. Co-witnessed like a dream, and I can't wait to get back out and shoot it. Being such a short optic, it looks good on there too.

I lucked out and found it at Whittaker Guns. It said used but unfired and when I looked at it I believed it. I even registered it with Beretta like it was new and apparently whoever had it before never registered it. The guy at the gun shop said it might have come from another shop that they bought out and was in fact new but since they didn't have any papers they had to sell as used. Only time I have ever got a good deal on a gun that I really wanted.:D

Thanks MLH. Way to go on a fantastic deal! I hope I get that lucky when I go shopping for a .45 ACP version next fall.
