Possible ACOG leak?

I have a compact ACOG that seems to be leaking a fluid.

The areas around the elevation and windage knobs are saturated with a light oily residue.

Is this common?

I'm not sure that there is any fluid in an ACOG to leak out. Have you tried contacting Trijicon to ask them about the issue?
