Anyone know a good place to get blackpowder stocks? I'm looking for a semi-inleted stock for a Kentucky style pistol without paying an arm and a leg.

Try here. I have never dealt with them but they have a lot of kits or individual parts for sale. They have stock blanks of all sizes and wood grades.

I've dealt with the folks at the logcabin shop. Been into the store actually, its great. They have a lot of stocks semi inletted to choose from, and all kinds of parts. Kits too. Service is great, you won't be disappointed.

Friendship, Indiana. The National Black Powder matches is coming up in July and the biggest (mother of all so to speak) rendezvous with all sorts of black powder shooters, suttlers, gawkers & talkers. You can probably find what you want @ a good price and have a great time meeting people.

"Whistle" for the Dixie Arms catalog. They may not have EVERYTHING for the BP enthusiast, but they're so close that you'll probably never notice.

These guys have an amazing inventory of semi-finished and almost finished stock blanks for muzzleloading guns. They have excellent pictures in their catalogs and on-line also. I have dealt with the Log Cabin Shop and found them decent as well, my last purchases have been through Track of the Wolf however, since I feel they have better quality pieces and a better selection.

Thanks for all the replies, looks like moneys to tight to buy anything right now, maybe this summer. I don’t think I’ll make it to Friendship at all but my parents will be there doing the reenacting thing, maybe have them pick one up if I have the money. This is of course if it stops leaking between the barrel and the drum.

Thanks again for all the replies.
