In early orders for the production of the M1 Garand, how many clips were to be made for each M1 Rifle?

No the joke with the Garand is one magazine per rifle. I think a typical rifleman carried 12 clips in a combat load. Dunno what the total number of clips/the total number of guns is though.

Hi all,
50 per rifle was the order of the day. Testing on a lot was to fire about 300 rds. per clip 20 clips tested.
