What's your favorite style of rear "grasping grooves" for an autopistol?

Here are some of the styles I've seen: straight Colt 1911; angled Colt 1911; finer angled serrations as on a Les Baer; BHP angled; fine flat-bottomed serrations as in a Caspian; wide flat-bottomed serrations as in a Glock or STI.

The triangle-cut serrations seem to have more purchase than the wide flat-bottomed serrations, in my experience. I think the very fine Les Baer / BHP serrations look the best.

What's your opinion?

thanks
Zak

The straight Colt 1911 followed by the angled Colt 1911 on 1911s. The BHP style on BHPs.

I prefer the Kimber style shown here:http://www.kimberamerica.com/_images/19.3-Pro-CDP-L%5B047%5DS.jpg

over the Para Ordnance type like these:

The P.O. type grooves will slice up your fingers if you get into really fast missfire drills. Been there done that. I also think the style kimber uses looks better too.

And this from a guy that loves Para Ordnance.
