I've got a scoped AR that needs a box. The problem seems to be the height. It's 12" high from pistol grip to the top of the scope.

Everything I've looked at online shows an internal height dimension of approximately 13-1/2". A little 3/4"padding on the top and bottom, doesn't seem like a lot. Am I wrong?

I've been looking at the following:
Pelican 1720: 42 x 13.5 x 5.3
Starlight SC-061338: 38 x 13 x 6
Eagle Industries DC-HC35: (no size given)

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Mainly I want something to protect the rifle and scope. I had case is nice, but heavy.

Mikul, a double rifle case should fit your gun with room to spare for mags and other goodies... The Cabela's in Hamburg had these on the shelf last time I was there (about 1.5 hours from Philly).
