I have a S&W 642-2 Airweight. My question is whether it would be possible to have the frame refinished and who would you recommend? Also, if possible I would like it to be done with something dark in color and durable. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Art G.

Talk to Accurate Plating & Weaponry (http://www.apwcogan.com/) or to Robar (http://www.robarguns.com/). Either does a great job. AP&W have a lot of information on their Web site about the different finishes available - good background info to help you choose.

Black-T is one of the best if not the best finish available. Not cheap, but the best seldom is. The last info I had was:
WE Birdsong & Associates (Black-T)
1435 Monterey Road
Florence, MS 39073
(601) 939-7448
He has done several guns for me and I have not been disappointed.
