I have not had much luck shooting my P-32.
Untill today I could only hit the target if I was 5 feet away or less.
However today at the 7 yard range I just decided to have fun and shoot it one handed and I hit the bullseye and more than once.
So its onehanded shooting with my P-32 from now on.

I am looking forward to the .380 Kel-Tec is coming out with soon.

Congrats on finding your way with your P32. I also shoot mine one handed. Two hands seems a bit awkward to me when using a mouse gun!

I use a very firm two handed grip, and the accuracy is astounding.

The grip places the weak wrist ahead of the strong one, the weak fingers wrapping around the strong ones, and the strong thumb on top of the weak one. The grip positively aligns your head with the gun because the arms, wrists, elbows and shoulders are all equally and rigidly aligning the upper body and the gun.

The main effect of all that is that the sight radius effectively becomes the distance between your eye and the front sight. The rear sight is used mostly for elevation.

With one or two warm up shots to a different small spot, I can consistently put a round between the "eyes" of the target from 50'. It's my favorite trick shot.... :neener:

(BTW, after decades of one handed pistol shooting, I adopted this method for all handguns. It doesn't matter whether it's a P-32 or 1911, the hold and grip is the same.)

I love to shoot my P32 also. That is the best money I ever spent! It's fun to shoot and I can carry it around all day and not even know it's there. I haven't even taken my Beretta bobcat out of the drawer since I got my P32. The Beretta feels like a brick compared to the Kel Tec.
By the way if you like the P32 try the P11 too.:D

I shoot my P32 a lot, and I shoot with a two handed grip.
I want to stay costant between my handguns.

You have to make sure that your "gun hand" is controlling the gun.
The "brace hand" should just snug up the firing hand, not change the point of aim.
Also, make sure which eye is dominant.
Since I found that I am left-eye dominant, I started shooting with both eyes open. (I am right handed, used to shoot with left eye closed.)
Now I can hit stuff! :D

The P-32 is a surprisingly accurate little gun once you figure out how to use the sights.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I got disgusted with my P-32 after a few mags full made shotgun-like paterns on the target. To empty the last mag. I just pointed it at the target one handed and let 'er rip...turned out to be a very nice group. I shot the little bugger one-handed everysince and have continualy been suprised with the accuracy.

In practical SD usage, you will most likely be using your P32 one-handed anyways.

I for one, am one of those who cannot hold the dang thing with two hands because it is just too small.

The P32 is the ultimate semi-automatic derringer. It is a belly gun. Like a Jetfire, or .38 snubbie, she shines close in. Five yards max. I love mine and find her combat accurate within reasonable limits.

I practice SD shooting in these steps:

1. Begin the draw with strong hand grasping grip and extracting gun.

2. As gun is rising to about 60 degrees below horizontal, begin pulling trigger (all my SD guns are DAO).

3. At the same time, the weak hand moves to grasp and steady the strong hand and grip the gun.

4. As the front sight acquires the target, the two hand grip is fully established.

5. As the rear sight comes in line, the trigger pull is completed.

That's how I practice 7 yard head shots in < 1 second with my SD guns.

FWIW, I'm slower drawing and shooting one handed because the weak hand does SO much to steady and align the muzzle on target. Of course, I can get a shot off faster one handed, but MY ojective is to have the first shot placed exactly where I want it -- on target exactly where it will do some good.

The main job of my weak hand is to steady and align my strong hand, not to grip the gun.
