I'm looking at the GunGrabber law study, but, of course it's not complete:
If I want to buy a rifle from a dealer in Oregon, what do I need & what paperwork is done?

Must be 18 years of age to purchase a long gun
Be a resident of the state of Oregon or surrounding states (some exceptions made for a few other states)
Be a US citizen or permanent resident alien with proof of residency (6 months utility bills)
Valid ID that matches place of residence
Not on probation
No legal entanglements pending
No restraining orders
No felony arrest
Not deemed mentally defective
Background check required at gun shows and at FFL dealers. (other restrictions apply)
More restrictions in the fine print.
Must fill out for federal form 4473 and pay $9 to the state for a background check.
No waiting period
