looking for a compact ccw

I am looking for a compact or sub compact ccw, something like the glock 26 or 27... I want either something in 380 or 9. Or if there is a better holster to conceal a 26 or 27 with wearing light clothes. If anyone could help me out post a msg or pm me.

I have a Kahr K9. Great all around carry gun. 100% reliable, flat, small dimensions and enough heft for fast follow up shots and durable enough for shooting lots of rounds. It is easy to conceal under a T-shirt as well with a IWB holster.

Steyr S9
Small, ergonomical, with a grip angel that makes it a natural pointer (which is great for quick draw non-aiming close range point shooting). It's a high quality little gun with a low retail price of about $300-350 right know but I don't know how long that will last. The Steyrs are slitely wider than a p239, but all the smooth round edges make it a joy to carry.

I'd suggest a Kel-Tec P3AT or P-11 if money is an issue, or a Kahr PM9 or P9 if it is not.

I'll second the motion on the Kahr. Mine is in .40, but if you like the 9 then go for it. Also look at the KelTek P11. Great value.

If a single stack magazine isn't a problem, you simply cannot go wrong with a Kahr, especially their K series. Kahrs are precision built of quality materials, as accurate as a full size handgun and possess an excellent size/power ratio.

I have a Kahr PM9 for very discreet pocket carry. You can manage quite a large pistol with an IWB holster. I have no problem with a light weight commander sized 1911 with a IWB holster. Best. Watch-Six

I dig my XD9 Subcompact but the Kahrs have it beat on compactability

How about the CZ RAMI. Pretty sweet little carry piece if you ask me.

I can carry my Glock 27 under a plain t-shirt using a Comp-Tac CTAC. Very little printing; looks like wrinkles in the shirt.

My cz100 carries really nice. However unless you have a bionic finger I would get a trigger job:D

I recently bought a CZ RAMI in 9 mm and have found it to be a terrific concealed carry pistol. I have owned the G26 and the G27 and could never get used to their safety system. Just never felt comfortable with it. On the other hand the RAMI operates SA/DA and has a safety for carrying in Condition 1 (if that's your choice) or with the first shot taken via double action. It is definitely in the size range of the G26 and the G27 and has 10 in the mag so 10+1 (like the Glocks) is possible.

FYI the specs for the RAMI can be found here:http://www.czusa.com/product.detail.php?id=48
Good shooting;)

Grocks are ok IFFF you could look yourself in the mirror after buying one..I know I couldnt..<~~~couldnt resist..lol
I would say the Rami would be nice CCW weapon either in a pocket holster or an IWB or a nice pancake holster ...
I would draw and quarter myself and have my friends toss whats left of my carcass on a burning Pyre before buying one, but the Kahr has the Grock and the Rami beat as far as compactness...<~~AGAIN! sorry couldnt resist..lol
to me NOTHING BEATS THE SPRINGY XD-9 compact...MY PRECIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS:D

I want either something in 380 or 9
How about something right in the middle: 9X18 Makarov
I love my Mak, it's compact, thin, and very reliable. And best of all, they're cheap!

A Bersa Thunder .380 may be the ticket for you. Flat, small, lightweight, accurate, reliable, well-made, and best of all inexpensive at just over $200 brand new.
Everyone I know who has one swears by it, and I have yet to read anything other than great reviews on it.

I suggest a Kahr PM9 in a shirt tucker holster or, a Kahr P9. Both guns are very thin, lightweight and accurate. The PM9 is more concealable than the P9. I have both guns and, I alternate between them as my carry guns.

I've carried a G19, G26, PM9 and I prefer my RAMI (and PCR) to all of them. It's just whichever feels good in your hands, and you're comfortable using. I agree with everything "dairycreek" says, and I never did like the Glock grip angle or the striker-fired DAO on the PM9. The CZ's just "feel" perfect in my hands and what else can I say....I'm very comfortable with a real trigger/hammer(i.e. not striker). ;) But, that's just me.

Here are 2 pistols from opposite ends of the price spectrum. I have a Kahr K-9 (pricey) in 9mm that is great to shoot and thin. The Makarov, shoots a 9x18 round, is an inexpensive pistol and accurate. Both are reliable. Get something that fits your hand and feels like it is part of you.

Another vote for the Kel-Tec P11. Small, light and 11 rounds of full-power 9mm. Can't beat it.

Over 4,200 rounds through my Kel-Tec P-11. Still works perfectly. What a great little carry gun!

I'll follow suit:
http://www.czusa.com/product.img/48.jpg
The sub-compact CZ 2075 RAMI Pistol (http://www.czusa.com/product.detail.php?id=48)
or
http://www.springfield-armory.com/images/xd-pistol/XD9301.jpg
The Sub-Compact XD-9 Pistol (http://www.springfield-armory.com/prod-xdpstl-sub-compact.shtml)
The RAMI feels better in my hands, but I like the look of the XD-9. The specs are so close on both.. http://www.snowtroopers.ca/forumicons/super_smiley.gif

While I haven't shot the CZ RAMI....I am currently struggling over buying either:
1) The CZ RAMI
2) The Springfield XD Sub-compact
OR going cheap with:
3) Bersa .380; or
4) Makarov 9X18
I am REALLY trying to stay with the 9mm caliber since I already have a BHP. My research...considering the options I want in a pistol....all points to the CZ RAMI or the XD. (It also points to Khar - but they are too much $)

If you are considering the RAMI, go for it. I have the .40 S&W and the 9mm. I like the XD, and almost bought the subcompact, but I just feel more comfortable with a real hammer vs a striker, and being able to carry the RAMI with cocked/locked and safety on, or with the hammer down on a chambered round for first shot DA was my deciding factor.
Go with whichever you feel comfortable with and feels good in your hands.
If you are looking for something smaller for pocket carry then the Bersa, Mak, P11, etc. are all good choices (I have a P3AT for pocket carry). The RAMI is just way too big for that.
