We didn't feel like dealing with the crowds so we went shooting instead. Guns were a Sig P-220 .45, S&W 6906 9mm, Walther PPK/S .380 and a Ruger MKII .22lr

This is my 25yd line target after firing about 150 230gr FMJ. I was tired and shaky at the end which opened up my groups. Still, not bad for our first trip out of the year.

Where is that range at?

Its a PGC range off of Rt 118 out near Red Rock in Luzerne County. Its one of two ranges the wife and I use for shooting. It is one of the cleanest that I've seen. Doesn't get too crowded, even on the weekends, which is when we'll usually use this one. When we got there, there was a male/female couple shooting at the 15yd targets, so we set up on the 25yd targets. There was room to shoot at the 15, but my wife decided to shoot at the 25 with me.

There are three "ranges" at this range.

The one where we were shooting has 15 and 25yd targets for pistol and two tables set up for sighting in rifles at 25 yards. We always shoot at this one due to the shade factor of the trees. Even in mid-summer its not that bad.

To the left of this range, over the bank is the 100yd rifle range with 8-10?? tables.

To left of the rifle range is another pistol range with targets out to 50yd I think and 3-4 tables?

Looks like its a private club.

The PGC ranges in my area are pretty run down and not very safe places to shoot.

Nope, its a free PGC range. Its kind of off the beaten path so to speak, meaning you usually don't get the wrong crowd there. The other PGC range we go to is behind SGL #127, Brady's Lake which I avoid like the plague on the weekend. Its in Monroe County (I think??) and is near I-80 and the Poconos. You get all the "weekend warriors" from out of state there. During the week its nots bad.

It had a nice 50, 100 and 200yd rifle range, and a 25-50yd pistol range. The problem here is alot of the idiots think its neat to shoot the 2x4 boards that you hang your targets off of :fire:

Just found a good range in Milton Grove. $35 first year, $25 after. I tried a few public ranges, too many folks that made me nervous. People that insert loaded mags while I'm hanging targets tends to have that effect.

Has three pistol ranges, three rifle, shotgun and archery. It's rather nice to be able to bring all my toys and have a chance to practice.

Anyone else near the Lancaster area?
