9mm ammo preference

I sold my Browing HP last year and have been a .45 ACP nut in the interim. I just bought a Kahr P9 off of Gunbroker and need to buy some high performance ammo for it. I still have a box of Cor-Bon +P hollow points in the gun case, but what else is available out there?

Darn near anything you want.
I have a Kahr E9 that prefers 124 grain ammo. I've also tried some 147 grain that shoots about the same as the 124 gr.
Go check out ammoman.com or cheaperthandirt.com. They both have a huge selection of ammo.

ammolab.com has lots of great information concerning the plethora of 9 mm ammo available.

Golddot ammo always seems to do good in the tests. I tried a few different types of 9mm for my carry gun and I had the best grouping with Golddot.

Just couldn't leave it alone, could you? You ought to know by now my feelings about the .45 ACP. The Kahr is for summer carry after we get shall-iisue. :neener:

Sounds strange but me and my CZ's love Winchester White Box ammo. I have shot quite a few rounds and have not had a single miss hap. And Ammolab happened to include the JHPs in their test is favorable results.

Winchester rangers or gold dots. Two of the most consistant performers available. I use ranger talon 127gr +P+ in 9mm.

For carry ammo in 9mm, the 124 Gr +P Gold Dots and 127 Gr Rangers are my first two choices. The +P+ Rangers were noticably sharper in my P9 Covert than the 124 +P Gold Dots though. I'd carry either of them with no reservations if they were both relible in my gun and they were. I hear the 127 +P+ Rangers are being replaced with a more standard 124 Gr +P load though they will both be produced for a while.
For practice ammo, I like S&B and Winchester White box about equally though I prefer S&B in 45. Haven't tried the new brass Blazers though I'd expect them to be very decent as well. Or you can buy the reclassified Speer Gold Dots as a little more expensive practice ammo. They supposedly have some hard primers mixed in though I've never had a misfire or a slow fire in almost 2,500 rounds. I wouldn't carry it as carry ammo though... just to be safe. ;)
