May have to replace my snubbie and it might be this one. Also, any reason to not shoot .38's out of it or might the 337PD really be the way to go anyway (I've heard that they may have discontinued the 337)?
Thanks.

And Smith has a promotion right now on the 637.

I really enjoyed my 360PD hiviz. Be forewarned, the little thing HURTS with full power .357's. I don't mean it stings like a 4 inch model 29..I mean after a few cylinders of full-house 125's your elbow and wrist ache the whole next day...and if you get the version with the exposed hammer, it will leave a marble sized welt on the web of your hand. I was happy with the desision to go with the .357/.38 over the .38 only because it gave me greater flexability. I ended up carrying it loaded with Remington Golden-Saber 125's in .357mag. They are a medium velocity load that is quite bearable from the 11.5 oz gun and give a 200-300 fps advantage over .38+p's from the same gun.

BTW, S&B 158gr JSP's or Black Hills 158gr "deer stopers" both at 1400fps (4in barrel) are a BIG NONO. Tried it once, never again...seriously thought my arm was broken!

I have a 340PD and I really like it:)

It is my always gun, when I'm able to carry. My .357's it is a handful. I carry it with 4 125 gr Nyclads , for fast follow up shots. The 5th round is a full power 125 gr Proload.

Having a corrossion resistant gun so light that there is no reason not to carry it, with the ability to fire full power .357's makes it a great gun.

Deerstoppers?!?! Through an AirLite Ti J-frame?!?!?

You, my friend, are some kinda hard-core nuts. :scrutiny:

Agreed, Tamara; that is some kind of committed lunacy. When I got my 340pd, I took it to the range with a bunch of .357s--including Deerstoppers--to see how far I could go with it. Stopped at Silvertips. Jeez, Carbon--you're a bigger (or something!) man than I.;)

In answer to the original question, AP, get the 360 (or even better, the 340); the flexibility is worth having, and like Carbon says, there are loads that aren't too insanely punishing. Just one step up from the Remington Golden Sabers, I find the 130 gr. Personal Defense Hydrashoks (advertized at 1300 fps, so maybe 1200 or so from a snub?) about the limit for what I'm willing to shoot (though not many of them!).

Well...yea. :D And it was an 11.5 ounce Scandium J-frame
In my defence, It was the first day I bought the gun, and that was the only ammo I had in the safe for that caliber. I just HAD to shoot it.
