In National Briefs, page A-5 of today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, one finds the following short piece, dealing with a Congressman who, as I recall, is strongly PRO GUN.
Re his, according to the news item, having been caught with a HANDGUN IN HIS BRIEFCASE by security personnel at Louisville KY Airport, where he "was issued a citation for a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed, deadly weapon", two questions come to mind.
1. As asked above, what would have happened to Mr., Mrs. or Ms. Ordinary Citizen, given the exact same circumstances? One suspects that a whole lot more than "receiving a citation".
2. I don't know much about Congressman Hostettler, other than that he supposedly has supported Gun Rights, however I find myself curious as to which of the following factors were in play, re his carriage of a concealed weapon, without proper authorization, while going through an airport security checkpoint, IGNORANCE OR ARROGANCE? Anyone care to offer an opinion?
