Is it possible to convert a .38 spc to use moon clips? The clips seem to provide much faster reload. Anyone know if this is IDPA legal?

There are several shops doing the work, Clark for one.
Lots of information and availability of clips for different models at

Moon clip CONVERSIONS are not allowed in IDPA.
I had one done before they made up their minds on the subject and have shot it occasionally in non-IDPA matches. Maybe I don't practice with it enough but the long skinny .38s just don't drop in as readily as short heavy .45s.
