I would let that dealer be the proud owner of a used
Tauri PT-99.

Well, I know I wouldn't sell my PT99 (three 15 rounders, two 10 rounders) for $240. Heck, I wouldn't sell it for the $290 I gave for it. But if you don't like the Taurus and you want the Ruger, go for it... It's not like the 99 is ever going to go up from it's current value, discounting inflation.

3" Speed Six is a heckovagood gun! $240 is a good price too for a nice one.
Sell your Taurus to someone else and use the extra money to buy a holster and some speeloaders. Unless, or course, your dealer want's to throw them in on a trade.

I have 2 Speed Sixes in .357 magnum that I bought used in excellent condition, and I like them very much--every bit as much as Smith & Wesson model 65/13. One is a 2 3/4" stainless with custom grips and front sight and trigger action. (A good gunsmith can give a Speed Six an unbelievably nice trigger.) Cost me $260. Other is 4" blue with Hogue grips. Cost me $220. You won't be disappointed. Just make sure you're happy with the trade. If the Speed Six is 9mm or .357 magnum it's worth a little less than a same condition PT99. An even trade would probably be fair at a gun shop though because dealer has to profit a little.
