What do the esteemed members of this forum think about a marriage between the Civilian Marksmanship Program and the various Volunteer programs that the Prez. has been pushing sinc 9-11?
To the best of my knowledge, the one item the Prez. has not endorsed or recommended is Firearm Training in his volunteer promotions. (Surprise)
I know that The CMP already has some excellent training programs, and think that by combining their expertise with the presidents programs a better trained civilian poulation would result. Additionally, Firearms would again take on their proper role as an ultimate defense against threats from without or within.
Any comments?
