Is there anything wrong with this particular model? Other than the general badness of the safety that most folks tend to dislike. Looks like the 94 Ranger Compact, 9 round, 16" barrel, mandy little carbine.

A seller on Gunbroker.com has them in 357, 44 and 45 Colt for $230 NIB. Seems like a very good price and I wouldn't mind picking one up in 44 Magnum, just wondering why his price on this particular model is so low.

Cn;t think of anything in particular tha'ts Wrong with em......I sure like my .357 carbine.Been shooting it in cas for about two years now. Most cas shooters opt for shorter-throw weapons, such as the model 92's.I heard theya re changing the safety to a tang-mounted one, maybe some supplier is dumping "old" inventory??
They are a great gun if your not out to win ribbons.Price sure swounds right.
Oh,most cas shooters like rifles/carbines that hold ten rounds, could be another reason for clearing em out.

Well, it is a 9+1.

I guess I'll go ahead and get one. At that price, I should probably get a 38/357 too! :D
