My friend is having some problems with a glenfield model 60- he purchased, when the triger is pulled it pushes the striker into the firing mechanism, only problem is his stricker is going under the firing mechanism. There is a little hole were a retainer would go to keep the striker held up but there is no retainer there. If anyone knows these guns good could u help me out, or does anyone have a schematic for this? Also I tried nurich gun parts schematics but it is not clear enough to see if something is missing.

How 'bout a quick picture, it's worth a thou... You know the drill.
I'm looking at the Marlin 60 schematic and I don't see a striker or firing mechanism mentioned. However, there is a firing pin that sits under the Breech bolt. The firing pin is held in place by a firing pin retaining pin. Could this be the missing part? Is the gun used or new? The pin is the same in all the 60 models and lists from Numrich for $2.40 (manufacture # 407198 item # 444019). If you order the part, order the schematic, too. It's only another $.99 and they will e-mail it to you.

Enjoy-

I think the part I am needing is called a disconector spring. would anyone have a picture of a model 60 so I could be sure? From looking at schematics this gun is missing the spring and the disconnector in not being held up and is going under the sear instead of hitting it. Any help would be great. Thanks
