I've had my C&R licence since last year and still can't seem to find any reasonably priced C&R Mak pistols.:( So what's the word on the street? Are there any russian or EG maks making their way to a distributor near me (USA) ?? Any rumors? Are they all gone? Lets hear it.

C&R Maks are pretty well dried up. The commerical Bulgie's are available everywhere right now, but they'll dry up soon too.

Your best bet is to browse the FS ads here and on other gun boards. Expect to pay more for a C&R Mak because it is a C&R and because both the East German and true Russian Military Mak's are highly sought after.

they usually have some for sale (nothing against them but not cheap either)

Haven't looked there BSR. One of the big draws of the Mak for me was the cheap$ price and also being C&R so I can avoid paying the sheriff pistol tax here in MO. Aw well... a day late and a dollar short to the cheap C&R Mak sale...:(

The last time I look makarov.com at a shooter Russian PM (they're C&R) for $275, I think. Also, one of the big internet dealers (Akron Armory?) has Russians (again, C&R) available in about three different grades (rather pricey). An EG Mak (C&R) was listed yesterday on THR Classified (but you'd probably be third or fourth in line by now). You might be better off to dollar-wise to buy a Bulgarian and pay the tax.
