Anybody have one of these for your M1A or M14? I'm curious how well they work.

for your front sight, should work ok. Dunno about how legal it would be for competition use, if you ever wanted to use the gun so configured. I'd have to think it was definitely Kalifornia legal, anything that ugly on a military-pattern rifle would have to slip through their legislation, nevermind the fact that you couldn't hang a bayonet on it to save your a$$. :D

Uglygun has one on his AR-15 super squirrel killer. Man that was an accurate SOB (son of a battlerifle). That would be interesting for the M1A.

Looks like it could also prevent dirt from clogging your barrel - if you had to dive suddenly, for example.
Also would protect the crown from dings.
But, boy, I gotta say... that thing looks wierd.

Seriously considering having one installed my Eagle Arms AR10. One of my shooting buddies had one installed on his. They certainly cut down on felt recoil. One drawback is they are loud, I mean loud. Do not be surprised if everyone at the range moves away 3 or 4 benches when your firing.

The PRK muzzle flash is LOUD, and annoying because it has holes on all sides, and so when you lay prone, it blows the dirt from the floor up..
That said, I can just imagine how loud this thing is..
