Has anyone had any experience with PT Night Sites? Click HERE (http://www.arizonagunrunners.com/Products/PTSights/ptsights.html) for the website. I was thinking about getting a set and I like how there are different options.

who me;

I have 3 sets of night sights from PT (a division of IWI) and I have been generally very pleased.

The front sight on my S&W 457 is growing a little dim and I have given them a call, the sight is only about 5 years old. PT has stated to send them the slide and they will replace the sight without charge.:D I will updated everyone on how that works out.

I had PT installl a tritium front sight on a Ruger SP101 and I have been very pleased with the sight, the workmanship was excellent on the installation.

Overall, I am very pleased with PT.

Don't let one sight growing dim discourage you, I have had that happen with Meprolight and I think they are a great company also.

I think that MMC uses IWI tritium inserts in their adjustable sights. My MMC night sights were brighter than the Trijicon night sights I had installed on my Glock 19.

I don't have 1st hand experience. One of the guys at the shop I frequent got a set & wasn't impressed. Returned them & had his stock sights put back on them.
As night sights go, I prefer Trijicons.

My local Glock Armorer talks pretty poorly of the PT sights. Not so much because of the actual inserts but the physical sight itself. I have no experience with them at all.

A lot of folks don't like the Trijicons because they aren't as large and seemingly as bright (at least they're not super bright in a brightly-lit gunshop. But in the jungle or other actual tactical playground, you don't want your sights helping giving away your position, this they are small. At night, in a house, the Trijicons are plenty bright. For me, anyway.

I've played with Trijicons and factory Glock night sights. I've looked at Mepros in the shop but have never done any shooting with them. With any of them, one is likely to grow dim and as was said, I wouldn't let that discourage me. Just get it replaced. If the replacement goes bad in less than a year, I might get discouraged.

When I get a front sight put on my new favorite 38 Super Commander, it will be a Trijicon.

There is a lot of debate on which company makes a better product. The PTs (IWI) seem to be the most affordable.

Many a CZFer has PTs on CZs. I even have them on my CZ83.
CZ-USA installs them, and i have a set on my P-01. My 40B
was one of the first guns to get the PT Colt Defender nites.

I've owned Glocks (yes, pretty unbelieveable) and put PTs
on them. Also had a G19 with Meps, wasn't very impressed
as my PTs were just as bright.

As for the MMC adjustable sight. I've had 3 guns with them.
I heard that PT/MMC went under some new managers. So
i don't know what is going on now with those companies.

For price: PTs. For some very nice combat worthy Adjustables
MMCs are very nice indeed. I have a double bar/dot white
outline on my 97BSA. Bar/dot W.O. on my CZ75.

In fairness to other companies. Some guys have had good luck
with X-Press Sights..the ashley big-dot and 24/7..i have a few
pics of Cee-Zeds with the Ashleys..class acts.

Meprolight no longer offers CZ sights, but i'm sure for Glocks.
Trijicon offers fixed CZ sights, but for some more serious money.

Persoanlly, I give PT Night Sights three thumbs down for customer service.

I attempted to buy a set of PT Night Sights for a Walther P99 direct from the manufacturer, Innovated Weaponry, Inc. in TX.

First I found that they did not offer all of their configurations for the P99 but they did offer a LE discount price. :)

Second, after speaking with them on the phone, I found that they did not have the sights in stock. Hell, they make them!

I placed an order but waited what seemed like forever. The sights never came. I tried to contact Innovated without much luck.
When I finally made contact, the guy appologized for the delay and said they would be sent out ASAP.

A little while longer, no sights. I called and cancelled the order they credited my cc.

I've read where the PT Night Sights are not as bright as other brands and some users have had the sights fade way before the life expectancy.

I would recommend Trijicon sights over all others.

I had PT's put on my 1911 and couldnt see the front sight in the dark at all, barely the rear. I had em take them back off.

Never tried Trijicons. I can read by my Meps (almost).

PT's SUCK !!! I ordered sets for a firestar and a glock 30. Both sets came VERY dim. I could see no illumination in day or low light and very little even in pitch black. Threw them away and went with Trijicon which are very bright. I would very strrongly advise against PT's. :cuss:

I had Pt's on my Glock 22. Shot way below POA. Brightness was Ok, but the front sight wasn't perfectly square and one of the rear tubes rusted. I talked to one of the local PD and theysaid the same of theirs. Sold the gun.
