My Contender in .221 Fireball, 12 inch Bullberry barrel, Burris 10X scope, and Harris bench size bipod. Lots of fun on Prairie Poodles.

Excellent! I nearly picked up one of those in 7mm-08 - with the same scope even. I probably will if I see another for sale.

I also had a 7mm-08 in the old style frame but sold it about a year ago. Took two Whitetail with it and didn't shoot it much after that, I think I can do the same with my .358 Win that I could do with the 7mm-08. One thing, the .358 does have considerable more recoil, bent my glasses one day shooting off a bench when I wasn't really paying attention to the pistol, I was concentrating on the grouping too much.

Wow.. cool stuff. Esp. that rolling block.
I've fired a bumch of hand-rifles but i've never owned one. I took a long look at a Savage Striker to sort of "match" my 116.. I may do it yet.

Yer killin me, Hand Rifle Guy. I remember those babies from the '70's. (1970's) Nice to see one still in such great shape. As I recall, pull "slide" forward for manual cycling? 45ACP

'Taint mine! Those things cost a couple grand, by all accounts.
American Derringer makes 'em new. I've never laid eyes on one, but I believe you have the action right. .45 ACP it is.
They weigh very little, and they're thinner than a 1911. I wish I could afford one, nevermind that that the Cal-DOJ won't let you buy 'em. :(
I DO have a Model 8, though. But no scope.
Stupid state.
